SACS Committee Structure

SACS Executive Leadership Team

  • Consist of four to five people including President and Accreditation Liaison
  • Responsible for oversight of re-accreditation process

SACS Steering Committee

  • Consist of IEC Committee members
  • Responsible for monitoring and working with SACS sub- committees to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
  • Each member of the Committee will have monitoring assignments regarding requirements and standards
  • Responsible for actually compiling compliance certification report
  • Consist of IEC Chairs, co-chairs, and representation from faculty, students, administration, and staff
  • Responsible for collecting documentation, conducting meetings, tracking progress, and working within SACS subcommittees to ensure compliance with each core requirement and comprehensive standard
  • will edit and make necessary modifications before compliance certification report is submitted to Executive Leadership Team and SACS for the off-site review

QEP Committee

  • Consist of three to five individuals who will be responsible for developing, writing and editing the QEP after focus area is determined by the Steering Committee and approved by the Executive Leadership Teams.
