Over the years, Meharry has enjoyed generous financial support from its alumni and friends through planned gifts.  These contributions have funded many critical programs and facilities including named scholarships that often provide the critical margin for students struggling to finance an education in the health sciences.

The Planned Giving Office maintains a relationship with individuals who have made gifts to the Meharry Medical College through wills, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, life insurance policies and other planned gifts.  Our staff is available to collaborate with the professional advisors of individuals interested in making planned gifts to the College.

Additionally, to honor our alumni and friends who have made planned gifts to the College; we've founded The West Society, named in honor of Meharry's first African American President, Dr. Harold D. West Sr.
